![]() ![]() Under the hood, the Air is far more powerful than the previous-gen model. In other words, there’s no Face ID on the device at all. Unlike the iPad Pro, however, the device still has Touch ID - which is now located inside the power button, rather than in the now-gone Home button. The device features a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, with relatively small bezels around the edges. Next up is the iPad Air, which is the first iPad since the iPad Pro to get an edge-to-edge display. That said, if you want an even more affordable Apple Watch, the Apple Watch Series 3 is still available for $199. Of course, perhaps the best thing about the device is that it starts at $279 - meaning that it’s more affordable than ever to get a latest-generation Apple Watch model. Like the Apple Watch Series 6, the Apple Watch SE will be available starting on Sept. The Apple Watch Series 6 starts at $399, and is available now for pre-order, with full availability on Sept. And, there are a number of new watch bands, including the "Solo Loop," which is an uninterrupted expandable band that simply slips onto the wrist. Also, the new device supports the "Family Setup" process, which allows users to set up a device for a family member without that family member needing an iPhone. Other features include an always-on display that’s 2.5 times brighter than the Series 5, along with a series of new watch faces. The processor is also fast enough to handle an always-on altimeter, for tracking elevation and for the new blood oxygen monitor. The new chip is said to be 20% faster than the Series 5 chip, and the Series 5 chip was already more than fast enough for everything the Apple Watch was used for. The device also features a new processor - called the S6 chip. The Apple Watch Series 6 adds a sensor to track blood oxygen saturation - which can help the Watch track information about breathing and heart rate. At the beginning of the summer, however, September 14 had been mentioned by some rumours.Perhaps more important, of course, is what’s under the hood. The launch of these new models would take place in October.Īt the moment, Apple has not yet announced a specific date for its September keynote. Finally, a Mini-LED display would be on the menu. The MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inches that Apple is likely to show us next month will also benefit from a brand new design, flatter and rectilinear (inspired by the look of the iPhone 12), with more generous connectivity (supposed return of a MagSafe port, an HDMI output and an SD player). This new chip would finally replace Intel processors on the 16-inch MacBook Pro. These new MacBook Pro (14 and 16 inches) would be powered by an Apple M1X chip, faster than the M1 SoCs of the MacBook Pro 13 and Air currently available. Enough to portend an imminent announcement, probably in September. However, we learned last week that their production would have (finally) begun. ![]() Initially expected on WWDC 2021, they seem to have been pushed back following worries about supply chains. MacBook Pro M1X, finally?Īs we know, Apple has two new MacBook Pro under its elbow. As a reminder, the current iPad 8 relies on an A12 Bionic chip (that of the iPhone Xs). The “classic” iPad 9 is, for its part, still quite mysterious, but it should also enjoy a thinner chassis (with a screen potentially rid of its ugly borders) and a faster processor. Its design would be close to that used by the iPad Air 2020 but with a significantly more compact chassis. In it, we should find an Apple 15 Bionic chip (the same as on the iPhone 13), as well as a MagSafe magnetic charging connector and a USB-C port. ![]() According to Mark Gurman, the iPad Mini 6 is destined “to become a favourite of Apple fans thanks to its thinner edges and complete redesign”. Both would replace the current models respectively launched in 20, but with a unique design. There would be new on the field of tablets, too, with the supposed presence of two new iPads: an iPad Mini 6 and an iPad 9. ![]()
